Wake-up call: Exploitative recruitment risk to migrant workers in Qatar’s World Cup hotels

Ahead of the Qatar World Cup in November 2022, there is rising demand for staff hiring. Research shows that not enough is being done by the local luxury hotel brands to end abusive recruitment practices, which often require migrant workers to pay recruitment fees, causing the pressure of debt and low wages.
