David is a founding shareholder and director of the Mekong Club and has chaired the Mekong Club’s Board from its inception. He has practised law in Hong Kong since 1987. In David’s words, “the more I learn about slavery in the modern world, the more determined I have become to help companies develop private sector responses to fight the wrongdoers in this evil industry. As the private sector has mobilized in this fight, I am constantly surprised and humbled at how companies step up to help. It is easy to think that slavery is a problem for the “too hard” basket. It is not. Companies constantly step up to help the Mekong Club. We have many of the largest companies in the world as our dedicated partners and they are generous with their time, expertise and resources in the fight against slavery”.
