Nolan Clack is the Outreach and Communications Manager who works closely with the CEO and Programme Director to grow The Mekong Clubs’ brand and communication efforts. After spending some time building and leading early-stage tech startups and connecting and engaging with startup ecosystems around Southeast Asia, Nolan knows what truly drives a brand to succeed with limited resources – and it’s not mastering the marketing zest of the week. Instead, it’s about how to connect with purpose-driven individuals you’re trying to help and communicate your understanding back to them.
Throughout his time working in startups, Nolan has secured strategic global partnerships with founders, investors and universities in Canada, Egypt, Israel, Cambodia, Vietnam, Australia, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and India, valued over one million USD. Nolan has also developed C-Level relationships with TELCOs, FMCGs and government agencies around Southeast Asia.
Nolan has a keen interest in developing partnerships with NGOs to support ethical consumerism on slave-free supply chains. Specifically, to encourage NGO collaborations to support the private sector in preventing and detecting modern slavery in global supply chains.
Nolan holds a Master’s degree with a distinction in International Marketing from the University of Sussex in the UK. His master’s thesis focused on how NGO collaborations can support ethical consumerism in millennials, focusing on how the private sector can utilize their ESG reporting to gain new customer segments in a global marketplace.
Outside of work, Nolan enjoys nothing more than sipping iced coffee on tiny plastic stools, conversing with locals in the beautiful chaos of Ho Chi Minh City.
