The Legal Affairs Committee has just adopted groundbreaking new rules requiring businesses to prioritise human rights and environmental sustainability while evaluating their value-chain partners’ impact and holding them accountable. These rules apply to EU-based companies with over 250 employees and a worldwide turnover higher than 40 million euros, parent companies with more than 500 workers and a worldwide turnover higher than 150 million euros. Even non-EU companies with a turnover higher than 150 million euros generated in the EU will be subject to these new rules. You can find more in this press release.
